School & Work Info -- James Baker

This is my School / Work Information Page

I'm warning you right now... this page is over two years old. So, get a grip!

[mrtr_brd image] Education:

I have left school for the next year. I had attended Middle Tennessee State University, in Murfreesboro, TN (my home town), where I was studying Computer Science. But, I am burned-out and unmotivated. So, I have decided to save up some money and take a trip to Europe at the end of what would be my Spring semester.

A friend of mine, Desireé Galbreath, wanted to go with her German class, but didn't feel like going without a friend to go with her. So, when I mentioned that I was planning to go, she tried to convince me to go with them, rather than with my old High School Choir (which was going during Spring Break). Well, with one thing and another cropping up, she managed to convince me. So, now I am planning on being in Europe for about 20 days during May and June of 1997.

I plan to return to school during the Fall Semester of 1997, but am still somewhat unsure of what to do with my degree once I get it. Oh, well! That's the beauty of youth: you can be indecisive. :)

[mac image] Work:

If you are interested in hiring me for a computer-related job (or any job, for that matter), take a look at my resumé.

I have just recently been employed by a small company called JR Internet Consulting. Currently, we are focused on providing advertising space on the Internet. We work with the iMALL to help people advertise their products to new customers via the Internet.

Also, in the near future, we are planning on providing instructional seminars and classes on several hot topics:

  • Getting on the Internet
  • Basic Internet Use
  • Beginning Web Design
  • Using the Internet for Business
  • Advanced Web Design

But, I am available for work at other companies. I am interested in Macintosh administration and Web design. I am also available as an Internet Consultant. If you have a position in anything like that, please look at my resumé above. Thanks!
