User Accounts

These are the Cyberdog users who have accounts on this server.

Accounts do not reflect access to the newsgroups and mailing list. Both of those services are available to everyone. User accounts only refer to E-mail, Web, FTP, and Finger services. A user will receive an E-mail account in the Cyberdog.org domain, a personal Web site, FTP storage space, and access to a modifiable file that is returned when anyone queries the server about that user using the Finger protocol.

As stated, newsgroup and mailing list access are freely available to anyone at all. However, the user accounts are generally* reserved for those who have donated to the cause of keeping this server running--either financially, or by giving of hardware or personal time to the servers' operation.

[Webmaster's Note: We are currently not publicly offering any accounts at this server. This is because of a recent change in the server setup.
