Year 2000 HelpThere is only one bug in Cyberdog that has been found to cause problems beyond beginning of the year 2000. It deals only with the "Date" field in E-mail messages and Newsgroup posts. This bug does not affect the reading or retrieving of either Mail or News. But, it will cause Cyberdog to create and send messages with an improper Date field in their headers. This is a notable inconvenience to other Internet users everywhere, and should be corrected by ALL Cyberdog 2.0 users. To fix the problem, you should download the shareware program, "CdY2KPatch Alternatively -- if you like messing with file editors, as I do -- you may read the previously posted instructions which were written prior to the availability of John's Droplet program. These instructions, however, are only applicable to the plain PPC or 68K versions, not the FAT install. If you are using a FAT install of Cyberdog, you must use the droplet program. |
